DEMC and us: An Experience

Sejak balik sini for good, our little wee boy selalu demam. Irfan started his life in nursery. Lepas tu mula la balik dengan viruses ke rumah. Susah nak cakap, most probably sebab antibody dia sendiri yang lemah. Masa mula-mula duduk nursery, he was fine. Towards water crisis yang berlaku di Kuala Lumpur dan Selangor, I realized his body immune system dah jadi kurang. Biasa lah, air kena catu, tak berapa bersih, lepas tu jerebu dan cuaca kering yang teruk.  As a mother, and probably a little more luckier, ada sikit medical/health education background, menjadikan Farah lebih concious about his health.

Once he started to experience nonstop diarrhea-ing dan a little bit vomitting, my mind set dah mula jadi lebih alert. Mula monitor berapa kali sejam, berapa kali sehari, berapa banyak fluid intake untuk dia keep on hydrated. Tapi unfortunately, this little son tergolong dalam child yang terus fobia untuk makan dan minum, takut vomit dan poo. Setelah seharian memujuk dia makan dan minum --> I end up tak berjaya. We decided bawa Irfan to hospital untuk di-drip. Ikutkan hati, memang tak nak tengok jarum kat tangan kecil anak kita. Tapi, kena kuatkan hati untuk maintain his body hydrated kan. One of the nearest hospital to home is Darul Ehsan Medical Centre, a Specialist Hospital. Masa tu, memang tak kira pasal duit. Yang penting, the fastest treatment you can get. Nothing worth more than your child's life and health! I chose to be warded. Sebab kalau on drip dan tak rehat kat situ, memang sangat lah penat. Tambah lagi I am on my second trimester pregnancy with the second child.

On his first day
The overall hospitality in DEMC
Gaya pasrah on his final day in hospital, lepas kena tepuk butt dengan Dr Koshi!
Overall service di DEMC Shah Alam amat memuaskan. We are happy with the treatment. Memanglah kita kena spend bila masuk sini. Tapi selalulah kita ingatkan diri sendiri, setiap sen rezeki yang kita cari dan perolehi, ada bahagian orang lain, especially anak kita. Nothing worth more than that in your life.

A very welcoming service
And specially dedicated to Dr Varughese Koshi (Irfan had miracle when he sees him!) and all the nurses of Floor 6, DEMC, thank you so much for the service provided. Thumbs up! :)
